Winter is not only difficult on our wardrobe. Cars suffer a great deal also! For the windshields, the solution is simple and it is a homemade one! The trick involves using alcohol and water in a combination that will easily get rid of the frost. Check out the video provided below and watch how it all unfolds. Prepare the same solution for your car and use it in times of need!

, now since you did it inside a garage with the windshield just “frosted up” (not iced up) as you say it was, clearly it was not. do your trick outside when there is actual ice on winshield and with it bein 32 degrees or lower outside versus inside a warm garage. do that an post a video of how goos it actually is.

I agree with the above comment. Try that on a windshield with real ice, not just frost. And do it outside in 32 or below temps. tried this . Doesn’t work!

Will never do this or recommend, tried it last winter and ruined a new set of wiper blades,it deteriorates the rubber and left a film on the windshield that took months to disappear.

    1) The blue windshield wiper fluid contains alcohol too so this is a waste of alcohol. And 2) the lead in paragraph – the Southern Hemisphere also deals with winter weather too, just during the Northern Hemisphere’s summer months? Article was a waste of time, but fun to comment on!

This will also leave a smeary mess behind. If you use vinegar and water it will do the same thing without making it smeary. If there is real ice not just frost you can still use this but it will take longer. You can do sections or chip holes in the ice and then spray in the holes. That with the car defroster will get it clear but it takes some work.
