Breakfast should be about energy, about nutrition and starting your day with a big smile on your face. There are plenty of recipes out there for you to try and get the above result. But an easy way of achieving that is through the DIY eggs and bacon `cupcakes`. This method combines the activities of cooking eggs, frying bacon and toasting bread, into one delicious adventure, big enough for the whole family. Here is what you’ll have to do. First, the number of ingredients can vary according to the amount of mouths to be fed. So, make sure you have:
  • a muffin pan;
  • some butter;
  • slices of bacon;
  • bread;
  • and eggs;
  • (optional) cheese;
Then, begin preheating the oven to 400 degrees F. Butter the muffin pan, and place a slice of bread in each of the slots. Make sure you removed the crust from the bread, shaping them in a somewhat circular way. Before you assemble the tastiest breakfast in the world, put the bacon for about 10 minutes in the oven. Leave the bread muffin pan in for a couple of minutes as well, to give them a toasty feel. Take all out of the oven.
Put the bacon on top of each slice of `muffin` bread, while they are still in the pan. Crack each egg in each of the muffin cups. Turn the oven to 350 and bake for almost 20 minutes. Sprinkle cheese on top when it’s done, if you like. Remove the tasty bites of breakfast from the pan with the help of a wooden spoon. Bon appetite!
